Facebook and Twitter asked by Court

In Kuwait, a man in struggling to win his children form his divorced wife, says that his wife is not worth to have children, because she has relationship with 2000 men on Facebook, which he downloaded some photos of them as a support for his claim.

The man’s lawyer, who refused his name to be declared, sated to ‘Al-anba’, newspaper that there are many evidences that show that the woman is not capable of educating her children, including the evidence about her Facebook & Twitter. She has more than 1200 friends, 1000 them are men, and on Twitter she is followed by 860 peoples, which 800 of them are male.

Moreover, the lawyer added that, his client told him, that because her wife is a friend with more than 2000 peoples, therefore she shares personal information with them including her photos. The husband beliefs that these evidences are sufficient to convince court that his wife can not educate her three children, who are 4 to 9 years old.

The lawyer also mentioned that his client told him that, he copied all his wife’s messages and chats on Twitter and Facebook, which he found them meaningless and rubbish. Moreover his client told him that some time she didn’t even sleep until dawn doing nothing just chatting and twits with men.

The man asks: “what kind of mother she is, while she is chatting until dawn with strange men and having fun, while she is responsible of three babes?” the man continues“ how could she cares and educate them, while she delicate much of her time for chatting?”

The lawyer added that this is the first time in his career to have a case which facebook & Twitter are used as evidence. He also declared that he is not quite sure how these evidence affect the judge’s decision.
This lawyer also said that he is the first lawyer who uses evidence form social media, in cases related to family issues.
